Pastel drawing technique:
The initial outline is created by using a pencil. It is enhanced with an ink pen, after which the pencil outline is removed.

The first layer of pastel creates a base for the whole image. The second layer is added and blended into the first one to create depth, shape and contrast.

To strengthen shapes the ink pen is added to the top pastel layer.
