35.6x27.9 cm ~ Painting, Oil
When I was a child, I spent a lot of time observing insects, wondering what their lives were like, where they were going, what they might see. As I grew up, I drifted away from those quiet moments. But now and then, when I pause, those childhood stories come back.
This painting reflects one of them: a ladybug surfing the wind on a curling leaf, carried forward by invisible forces. I don’t know its purpose, only nature does, but I admire how these small beings move through the world with focus and grace.
I used white and radiant colors to reflect the abundance of air and to hold that sense of freedom, openness, and lightness.
One-of-a-kind original. Painted with professional oil paints on gallery-wrapped canvas. Signed and dated on both front and back. Sides are painted; unframed and ready to hang.
